Downhill literally translates to downhill riding on a special cushioned bike. It can be really extreme. It all depends on the landscape and the specifics of the tracks.
Of course, this sport has a special focus on safety. Downhill bikes have stronger frame designs and rims made of aluminum or carbon. Special tires are used, 3.0 "(76 mm) wide with deep tread. To protect the body, special armor is used that protects the torso, arms, shoulders in case of a fall. For the head, a full face helmet is used that covers the face and neck. For hands - special gloves, with hard elements that protect hands and knuckles, a wide mask is used to protect the eyes from dust, dirt and insects.
Experienced instructors will tell you about all the specifics of this sport and will accompany the child throughout the entire lesson (up to 3 hours). It will not do without training in dexterity and balance, studying the features of a mountain bike and, of course, practice.
Don't worry about safety. The experience of our coaches and high-quality protective equipment will exclude any injury.

On both sides of the valley where Livigno lies, there are two large bike parks: Carosello 3000 and Mottolino. The Carosello 3000 park has more than 55 km of trails, which are suitable for both beginners and experienced MTB athletes. Mottolino is a true paradise for downhill and freeride fans. There are 14 tracks of any complexity in the park. To teach children and adults all the basics of cycling, the group will visit the Bike skill center. The center offers classes for all ages.
On the first day of classes, children will be divided into groups according to their age and level of training. For young children (up to 5-6 years old), classes are provided in the bike park at the foot of the mountains and walks with an instructor in the valley. For children who are already familiar with cycling, but are not yet confident in their abilities, trainers will offer training in Carosello Park. Older children (from 11 years old) will be able to master the Mottolino Park.
