Piedmont is a region in northwestern Italy famous for its vineyards which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home for Barolo, the "king of wines", the Slow Food movement and the annual fair of white truffle - the most precious mushroom, in Alba town. The name Piedmont translates as "at the root of the mountains" (from Italian ai piedi dei monti).

Guests of the Italia Per Famiglie tour can get to know in person the owners of famous and small family vineyards to appreciate the taste of Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto wines.

In this area the most delicious chocolate in Italy is produced and the world famous Ferrero factory is located. Piedmont hazelnuts are often used in sweets of this brand - the same from which gianduja cream is made.

During our family tour kids and adults have the opportunity to visit the factory of hazelnuts, learn all the secrets of the sweet treat and of course appreciate its taste.

Piedmont is the homeland of castelmagno, bra, robiola, gorgonzola and taleggio cheeses, toma ect.
Our group will make a trip to the city of Bra, where together with a qualified guide we get acquainted with all the aspects of production.

And here tourists and people who appreciate haute cuisine can buy fragrant truffles. In a friendly company together with a hunter and his faithful dog we will go in search of a white truffle in order to enjoy its exquisite aroma and taste during lunch at a large table.

Meeting at 3 pm at the ANTICA LOCANDA SAN PIETRO hotel in Govone.
Getting to know each other.
Visiting the ancient castle. Guided tour for adults.
Harry Potter School of Magic for kids.

THE MAGIC WORLD OF HARRY POTTER

Children will participate in a story of a wizard boy and do magic wand making, Quidditch games, butter brewing and broomstick flying lessons!

During the professional animation program "The Magic of Harry Potter in Piedmont" all children will be dressed in a magic robes and hats. This is necessary in order to be able to attend the lessons of the magic school and witchcraft at Hogwarts.

In addition the participants of the family trip will spend an evening playing with the characters of the Harry Potter saga: puzzles, dominoes and many board games await our guests.
