Procida
Procida is the smallest of the islands of the Neapolitan coast. There are no crowds of tourists here even in summer. This island is filled with Mediterranean style architecture and dense vegetation. There is a clear sea and picturesque rocks, colorful houses with an Italian character and authentic fishing boats.
Here you will need a bicycle to feel like the hero of the film "The Postman" ("Il Postino") directed by Massimo Troisi. The film was released on movie screens in 1994 with the slogan "Dreams come true".

Massimo dreamed of making a great movie, and his dreams came true: he won an Oscar! Since then, the beach where the shooting took place has been called the postman's beach, and Procida – the postman's island.

Lake Braies
It is the most beautiful Alpine lake and the deepest in South Tyrol. Its maximum depth is 38 meters. It is located in a cozy hollow at the foot of the mountain and is part of the national park.
In 2011, Italy saw the first season of the television series "One Step from the Sky" ("Un passo dal cielo"). It was filmed in South Tyrol. The main character of the picture is a forest inspector. The audience loved his dangerous professional and passionate romantic stories: the series had 6 seasons! Of course, the incredible landscapes in the vicinity of Lake Brize played a role in this success.

  • Hiking trail (Sentiero Lago di Braies)

Dolomites
The Dolomites are a mountain range located in the eastern part of the Italian Alps in the north of the country. The peculiarity of these mountains is that they mainly consist of dolomite, a light limestone rock. This gives the Dolomites their famous pale color, making them so charming.
It seems that the Dolomites are the perfect scenery for films about love... with humor. So it is! In 2003, we first watched the movie "The Newlyweds" with Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy. Director Sean Levy showed in the film how beautiful the nature of the Dolomites is and what kind of trouble unprepared travelers can get into here.

Where to take photos:

  • Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park (Parco Nazionale delle Dolomiti Bellunesi)
  • Tre Cime di Lavaredo Mountain range
  • Feltre (the former capital of the Republic of Venice in the Dolomites)

Lake Como
Thousands of tourists come to Lake Como every year to take pictures next to old villas with luxurious gardens and, perhaps, to meet movie stars here. For example, to meet George Clooney, who has his own house on Lake Como, and his friends from Hollywood.
Dozens of films were shot on Como. Among them is the romantic comedy "A Month by the Lake" with Vanessa Redgrave, Edward Fox and Uma Thurman. The film directed by John Irwin was released in 1995, but the action of the picture takes place in 1937. Yes, it seems that time has stopped in the luxury of the surroundings of Lake Como – there is a calm, pleasant and almost idyllic atmosphere here.

Salento
This is a peninsula that is washed by the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. Its length is 150 km . There are a lot of delightfully beautiful places on the peninsula. One of them is Santa Maria Leuca. At this point, the Ionian and Adriatic Seas merge together. The coast of Santa Maria Leuca is known for its grottoes, which can be reached by sea on fishing boats. The most famous of them are the Devil's Grotto, the Grotto of Giants, the Grotto of the Dragon and the Grotto of Lovers.
In 2010, the comedy detective "Murders in Salento" (Commissario Zagaria) was released. The main character is Zagaria, a Salento police inspector. Throughout the film, he fights the mafia, tries to make friends with a young partner, flirts with women... and shows the audience the most beautiful landscapes in the south of Italy!
